The swing shift Production Supervisor will oversee and manage the production operations, ensuring adherence to quality control and safety standards, and train and supervise team members. Responsibilities include coordinating daily production activities, maintaining equipment, monitoring production output, and ensuring products meet all quality assurance criteria. The role requires strong supervisory and communication skills to lead an efficient and motivated team.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of production workers, providing clear direction and performance feedback.
- Ensure all team members are trained and comply with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOP's).
- Assign tasks and monitor staff performance and productivity.
- Ensures and verifies documentation is in order and understood, such as production drawings, BOM's and work orders.
- Collaborate with the quality team to address and resolve any defects or non-conformities.
- Work with Quality, Environmental, H&S employees to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational and regulatory of Quality.
- Has the obligation to be aware of and comply with environmental, safety policies and regulations and ensure duties of high-quality standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED; and/or minimum three years of experience in assembly and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Must have four or more years of supervisory experience of ten or more people.
- Must work effectively with limited or no supervision.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to train and work well with others.
- Excellent communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- The employee if frequently required to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk frequently, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
