Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
5+ years of experience in event planning, retail marketing, or customer engagement.
Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
Experience with retail audits, merchandising, and branded environments.
Familiarity with inventory systems and point-of-sale technologies.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
Essential Job Functions:
Event Strategy & Execution
- Plan, schedule, and execute customer-facing company events including customer appreciation events, conferences, trade shows, open houses, product launches, and local activations
- Develop and manage detailed event project plans, budgets, timelines, and logistics.
- Develop and maintain a long-range event calendar and facilitate annual planning sessions to identify strategic priorities and build promotional kits for deployment.
- Coordinate with vendors, venues, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage on-site event execution, including setup, registration, coordination, and breakdown.
- Conduct post event surveys to support continuous improvement
- Serve as an active member of the Employee Engagement Committee, holding a permanent seat on the Events Board, coordinating with committee members and department leads on internal events and Stowers Foundation initiatives.
Retail Presence & Store Experience
- Own the CAT Retail Assessment process and ensure compliance with brand standards across all locations.
- Develop store-level retail plans for layout, look & feel, and promotional strategy.
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure adherence to retail plans and maintain a 4-star average across locations.
- Ensure marketing materials are current and aligned with brand messaging.
Merchandise Program Management
- Manage branded merchandise programs to support customer and employee engagement
- Coordinate inventory, sourcing, and distribution of promotional items for events and retail
- Align merchandise strategy with overall marketing and customer engagement goals.
- Drive novelty merchandise sales at all locations
- Implement a modern system for merchandise transactions and inventory management
Leadership Responsibilities:
While this role may not include direct managerial responsibilities at the Specialist level, the individual will:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of both client-facing and Employee Engagement Committee Board Approved internal events, from strategy development to flawless implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all events and experience initiatives align with company goals, culture, and customer expectations.
- Leverage data and feedback to inform event strategies, enhance client satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement.
- Clearly communicate objectives, timelines, and results to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout event initiatives.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Marketing experience in the heavy equipment and/or industrial industry a plus but not required.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Clear and understandable speaking voice for the purposes of telephone and in-person communication.
- Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to use a ladder or other equipment to work above ground level.
Work Environment:
Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to job site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, employees must be careful while performing onsite services.
