Campbell Fittings is pleased to announce that we are currently recruiting a Supply Chain Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior supply chain experience directly in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift: 1st 7:00am-3:00pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Package finished goods and perform other duties related to the preparation of orders for shipment to customers.
- Check accuracy of shipments, checking for quality issues, packing goods, populating paperwork, ensuring all required paperwork is provided as well as scheduling the pickup of shipments as necessary.
- Use prescribed methods to pack, seal, and label containers.
- Reviews and assists the receiving clerk with the receiving paperwork to check the accuracy of the shipment coordinates the staging and loading of inbound and outbound shipments, takes pictures when necessary.
- Works with other departments when detecting quality issues on shipments and coordinates the actions accordingly and as per procedure, completes proper documentation.
- Count items manually and place into proper size containers or use weigh-count scale when necessary.
- Dump work onto packing tables using hydraulic container dumpers or pick items from floor level containers.
- Use hand trucks, platform trucks, hydraulic pallet trucks, and forklift trucks (when qualified) to move materials throughout the warehouse when needed
- Assist in the selection of stock from storage areas, accumulate orders on platform trucks, and deliver to designated area for shipment.
- Sort damaged, incomplete, or otherwise inferior work while packing and place in proper containers.
- Close cartons using hand or semi-automatic tape dispensers
- Refill tape dispensers when necessary.
- Use air-powered strapping tool to secure cartons to pallets. Replace spools of strapping material when reel is empty.
- Stencil and/or label cartons with customer's name, address, weight, contents, and other necessary information.
- Use material handling equipment to move surplus materials to proper storage area, and to load and unload delivery trucks.
- Receive unassembled cartons, wooden pallets, and other shipping materials and store in proper area.
- Identify products by part number.
- Perform assembly of multi-component products as required.
- Performs activities for training new employees as well as participating in corrective action procedures with department employees.
- Assist with periodic inventories when required.
- Maintain a daily account of all materials removed from or placed into stock.
- Report to group leader when assignment has been completed.
- Assist in maintaining the warehouse and dock areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow all established safety rules and procedures including compliance with 5’S safety, and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes:
- Mandatory: safety glasses (depending on workstation) and hard sole anti-slip shoes
- Optional: Steel-toe shoes (toe protection shoes), hearing protection, gloves
- Report defective materials and unusual or unsafe conditions to Production Control Manager and/or Plant Manager.
- Performs other related or additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills including active listening
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and able to ask for help when needed
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
- Must be comfortable and efficient in working in a busy open-floor environment
- Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as individually
- Experience with use and understanding scan guns and their use in both shipping, inventory put-away and picking, and cycle counting.
- Must be comfortable and able to work from elevated platform (not to exceed 25’) wearing designated safety equipment
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of working in a manufacturing environment required
- Forklift experience certification a plus
- 1+ years of supply chain team experience (directly within warehouse environment) required
- Prior experience in inventory control, cycle counting, and researching root cause and making recommendations on how to solve and eliminate inventory errors desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing entire shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend and twist throughout entire shift.
