Responsibilities:
- Consolidate financial data from North American units to produce segment-wide results.
- Analyze actuals, forecasts, and budgets, highlighting key trends and variances.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management.
- Maintain and update local databases to support ongoing analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tax, Treasury, Strategy, HR) to support segment-level initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to financial projects such as benchmarking, business improvement, and strategic analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and systems.
- Coordinate with Corporate Finance on performance management and reporting requirements.
- Additional duties may be required based on evolving business needs.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are considered a plus.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage and interpret large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with financial reporting software such as BPM, BPC, SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion.
- Familiarity with the steel industry or broader manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Awareness of emerging IT trends and automation opportunities in finance.
