Quality Manager – Plastics Manufacturing
Full-Time | On-Site in NSL, UT
Dura-Line, a forward-thinking manufacturer of high-performance plastic conduit, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives, drive process excellence, and enhance customer satisfaction at our manufacturing facility.

You will be accountable for all aspects of quality at the assigned manufacturing site, including management of quality systems, compliance with certifications and contracts, and leadership of plant-level quality teams, to ensure that Dura-Line meets or exceeds customer and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop quality technicians across all shifts in a 24/7 plastics extrusion operation.
- Use data-driven analysis to reduce scrap, improve yields, and strengthen product reliability.
- Investigate and resolve material, process, and tolerance-related issues promptly.
- Manage and continuously improve Quality Systems (QMS), including FMEAs, Control Plans, PPAPs, and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, TL 9000, and customer-specific standards through robust documentation and adherence to procedures.
- Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan, serve as Lead Auditor, and manage external audit readiness.
- Oversee controlled document systems to ensure all procedures, work instructions, and forms meet certification requirements.
- Lead plant-level continuous improvement projects to enhance process capability and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to implement sustainable quality improvements and supplier development programs.
- Promote a strong quality culture and accountability mindset across the plant.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of quality experience in plastics manufacturing (extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, etc.).
- Proven leadership in managing certified Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 or TL 9000.
- Expertise in quality tools and methodologies: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- Experience conducting and leading internal/external audits; Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP or ERP experience a plus.
Physical & Work Environment
- Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing settings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE in production areas.

The compensation for this position will typically range from $88,000 - $143,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
