Flexo Printing Machine Operator en Tekni-Plex

The Flexographic Printing Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed aluminum rolls. This role involves executing pre-press tasks such as plate and ink preparation, staging raw materials, and ensuring proper cylinder setup for efficient workflow.

During production, the operator monitors the press for quality and defects, performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting, and conducts quality control checks to ensure compliance with product specifications. Accurate documentation of production details is also required.

Additionally, the operator supports press-side quality control activities and may assist with general maintenance and cleaning tasks as directed by the supervisor. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and product quality within the printing process.

Job Responsibilities:

Machine Setup & Operation

• Set up and operate the Flexographic printing press according to job specifications.
• Adjust machine settings for different materials, colors, and designs.
• Align and configure machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor the entire printing process to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.

Pre-Press Preparation

• Prepare and mount printing plates and rollers.
• Mix and match inks to meet desired color specifications.
• Select and prepare printing substrates based on job requirements.
• Determine quantities required for each print job.

Quality Control

• Conduct regular quality checks on printed products for clarity, color accuracy, and defects.
• Inspect random production samples to evaluate print quality.
• Ensure printed materials meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Use automatic inspection systems to support quality assurance.
• Register colors accurately and control scrap material.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform routine maintenance on printing machines, including lubrication and cleaning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized area around printing machinery.

Documentation & Communication

• Draft and submit daily production reports.
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and quality control data.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve issues and improve processes.

Compliance & Safety

• Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
• Adhere to Cardinal Safety Rules and all plant safety protocols.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
