  • Under the supervision of the assigned supervisor, performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled painting and painting related tasks in the maintenance, repair and improvement of the facility and equipment: Responsible for the following:
    • Interior walls, ceilings, flooring, equipment- Ensure all interior painted surfaces are free of damage and in superior condition in accordance with the facility standards.
    • Exterior- Ensure all exterior painted surfaces are free of damage and in superior condition in accordance with the facility standards.
    • Leads and performs skilled/semi-skilled painting and surface work in connection with the maintenance, repair, or alteration of facilities and equipment.
    • Prepares surfaces for painting including patching, sanding, sealing, caulking to ensure a professional finish
    • Efficient in removal of old paint, graffiti, and other markings.
    • Performs or assists in the assembly/erection of staging, platforms, or any other means necessary to provide access to areas not easily accessible.
    • Operates a variety of specialized equipment including pressure washers, power operated spray-painting devices and job related machinery.
    • Receives and responds to work orders; ensures compliance with building, health and safety codes and standards.
    • Completes work with accuracy, completeness and compliance with established standards and procedures.
    • Assists in post construction inspections, project planning and evaluation, and coordination or work with other trades.
    • Plans, organizes, and lays out assigned tasks; interprets plans, diagrams, blueprints, sketches, and specifications; performs tasks from verbal and written instructions and work orders.
    • Estimates material requirements from drawings, blueprints, or written instructions.
    • Assesses labor, material and equipment needed for assigned projects, monitors inventory levels of materials and equipment.
    • Maintains various records related to work orders and assigned activities
    • Maintains shop and work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
    • Perform area inspections and completes any corrective action to ensure a safe and clean workspace.
    • Completes as directed by site leadership any additional group/individual tasks that require the participation of the full/partial facility maintenance team to ensure and safe, clean, and organized workplace.
