Transportation Assistant Manager will lead and manage our transportation department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation operations, ensuring efficiency, and delivering a seamless experience for our members and guests. The Transportation Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating rides, managing the team, maintaining the fleet of vehicles, and handling administrative tasks related to billing and reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Transportation Operations Management:

  • Receive and process transportation bookings.
  • Coordinate rides and dispatch drivers to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Send booking confirmations to members and guests.
  • Create and manage the calendar for the transportation department.

2. Driver Team Management:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of drivers.
  • Schedule and assign drivers for optimal coverage.
  • Provide training and support to ensure a high level of service.

3. Member and Guest Experience:

  • Ensure a seamless and positive transportation experience for all members and guests.
  • Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Provide outstanding and appropriate service, professional advice, and assistance to members and their guests with attention to detail and quality communication.

4. Billing and Reporting:

  • Utilize TEI for billing members for transportation services.
  • Send weekly commission reports to the club controller.
  • Create and send monthly volume reports to track and analyze transportation metrics.

5. Fleet Maintenance:

  • Manage the maintenance of the fleet, including scheduling regular oil changes, car washes, and other necessary services.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in optimal condition for safe and reliable transportation.

6. Budget Management:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the transportation budget.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in transportation management, with a focus on operations and team leadership.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with billing systems, preferably experience with TEI.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful reports.
  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance best practices.
  • Understanding of transportation regulations and compliance.
  • College Degree is preferable.
  • Interpersonal Communication.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
