*For each 24-hour shift, CV expects employees to have uninterrupted time to sleep through the night. Typically, an employee will have 8 hours of time to sleep and 4 of those hours will not be paid (i.e., sleep deduction). This means in a 24-hour period, the employee will be paid for 20 hours of time worked and will be allowed to sleep for up to 8 hours. Exceptions do apply if sleep is interrupted. Please refer to CV policies for more details.
