Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- Full-Time (2:30pm- 10:30pm)
Episcopal Homes of Minnesota has proudly served seniors for 130 years in St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood. Our vibrant campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Home Care services. We are currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Nursing team and provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents in our community.
Wage: $30.49-$37.20/hr. DOE
Schedule: Full-Time (2:30pm- 10:30pm)
What You’ll Do
- Assist in developing individualized care plans for residents
- Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, monitoring vitals, and routine treatments
- Operate and monitor medical equipment to assess resident health
- Observe residents and document health status, changes, and treatment responses
- Supervise and support caregiving staff to ensure adherence to care plans and protocols
- Advocate for residents by educating families, caregivers, and residents on care and wellness strategies
- Communicate resident condition changes to appropriate staff, providers, and families
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in EMR systems
- Participate in infection control, quality assurance, and compliance initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition
- Effective communication skills for collaboration and education with caregivers, residents, and families
- Ability to work in federally funded healthcare programs
- Preferred: Experience in long-term care, assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing
- Preferred: Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Preferred: Experience in geriatric care and chronic disease management
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility during the shift
- Adequate vision and hearing for nursing assessments and resident needs
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping to assist residents
- Manage emotional and mental stress associated with direct resident care
- Long-term care environment with frequent interaction with residents, families, and healthcare providers
- Fast-paced setting requiring adaptability and problem-solving
- Variable schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
