Other Conditions: Lecturer applicant pool for Academic Year 2025 - 2026. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance and availability of funding. Must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Gender and Women’s Studies and other related courses, such as WS 151 Introduction to Gender and Women’s Studies, Gender and Sexuality, Women in Religion.
- Teach other courses in Philosophy as needed, such as PHIL 370 Indigenous and American Philosophy, and a variety of ethics courses. Special topics can be introduced pending departmental needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- MA in Philosophy or other related fields, such as Indigenous Political Science, Gender and Women’s studies, Communication, American Studies, and Political Science.
- Experience teaching in interdisciplinary fields
- Experience teaching in multiple philosophical and cultural traditions from around the world
Desirable Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy or other related fields, such as Indigenous Political Science, Gender and Women’s studies, Communication, American Studies, and Political Science.
- Experience teaching both online and in person
- Demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness
