Job Title: Finish Carpenter (Cabinet Maker)

Reports To:  Small Parts Team Leader

Pay Range: $19 - $22.75

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary 

We are seeking a Cabinet Maker to join our Cabinet Shop team. This role focuses on assembling, fitting, and installing interior wood components such as cabinets, drawers, trim, and doors for our luxury boats. The ideal candidate has previous carpentry experience and takes pride in producing quality, detail-oriented work.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assemble components, including cabinets, doors, and drawers.
  2. Perform adjustments or repairs to wood parts as needed.
  3. Read drawings or work instructions.
  4. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
  5. Collaborate with teammates to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  6. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

 

Required Qualifications

  1. Previous carpentry experience (cabinetry, furniture construction).
  2. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
  3. Ability to read a tape measure and work with dimensions accurately.
  4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  5. Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in cabinetry or finish carpentry.
  2. Familiarity with woodworking materials and finishes.
  3. Marine or furniture carpentry background is a plus.

Work Environment
Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature, reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to walk, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10-hour days with most of the time being on their feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
