Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, reviewing, and analysis of the financial statements in a timely and accurate fashion on a monthly and annual basis in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines
Knowledge of financial statement preparation including profit & loss statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows according to GAAP
Maintain prepaid expenses schedule and amortize expenses accurately over the relevant periods
Calculate and record monthly accruals for various expenses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Participate in the annual audit, annual tax filings, and annual personal property tax filing processes
Participate in monthly flux analysis
Creating reports and updates based on data analysis in Microsoft Dynamics
Assisting with development, implementation, and review of fiscal policies and memos
Assist in special projects, including but not limited to IT initiatives and process improvements, to support the company’s growth
Interacts with management from within and outside of the accounting department to respond in an accurate and timely fashion to inquiries related to the group’s activities
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP required and IFRS a plus
1–2 years of accounting experience preferred
Above average system skills – preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 365, Paylocity or ADP, advanced excel, Procare AR and billing systems
Ability to roll up sleeves and be proactive to obtain needed information
Excellent verbal communication skills required for communicating issues and providing concise, thoughtful updates to senior management
Excellent people, team building and leadership skills
Solid technical, analytical and problem-solving skills

How It Gets Done:
Is able to work at least a full-time, 40-hour a week schedule, sometimes off-hours as the business requires (i.e., deadlines, networking events, conferences, business dinners, etc.).
Is able to sit for long periods of time at a computer in a primarily sedentary position; manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Limited travel may be required (less than 10% of time), valid passport required.
