Job Summary
The Creative Director, Marketing is a visionary leader responsible for defining and implementing the creative strategy across all aspects of the company's brand. This includes strategizing, overseeing and developing marketing campaigns, and ensuring brand consistency in all communications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the commercial design industry and a talent for translating market trends and client needs into innovative marketing initiatives and compelling brand stories. This position reports to the Vice President, Product and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Vision: Define the creative direction for the marketing department that is aesthetically compelling, innovative, and aligned with market demands.
- Strategic Marketing and Branding: Develop and execute creative strategies for brand positioning, advertising campaigns, and marketing communications across multiple channels (print, digital, social media, and industry events).
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional creative team of designers, graphic artists, copywriters, and other specialists inside the company, as well as external agencies. Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Market and Industry Trend Analysis: Stay informed on the latest interior design trends, architectural developments, and industry innovations, incorporating new ideas into product strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure creative campaigns and product innovations meet business objectives and client needs.
- Presentation and Pitching: Present creative concepts, brand initiatives, and new collection messaging campaigns to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external clients.
- Project and Budget Management: Oversee creative projects from concept to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Content Creation and Approval: Review and approve all creative materials, including lookbooks, product mockups, campaign visuals, and website content, to ensure brand standards and quality are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in a creative leadership role, with experience in the commercial building materials, interior design, or textile industries preferred.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating creative vision, brand strategy, and impactful design work is essential.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Deep understanding of branding, visual communication, and strategic marketing.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of digital platforms, web design, and print production processes.
- Attributes: A highly creative, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with a proactive and innovative mindset.

Starting pay range: $78K-115K
