Equitas Academy is searching for a Managing Director of Learning Innovation who will partner with school leaders to ensure that every Equitas classroom implements instructional practices that lead to transformative learning for all students.

Communicate and lead the implementation of a clear vision for instructional excellence across all grade levels and content areas. Implement and oversee systems to continually strengthen curriculum, instruction, assessments, and progress monitoring
Stay abreast of promising innovations and research-based practices in curriculum, instruction, intervention, and educator development.
Ensure that every Equitas student learns to read on grade level through pedagogy aligned with the science of reading; ensure that every Equitas student masters grade-level math skills through inquiry and authentic problem solving.
Align curriculum, instructional programs, assessments, and educator development to the Equitas academic vision.
Develop systems for interventions, both within and outside of the school day, to ensure that every student receives appropriate and responsive learning experiences.
Observe instruction to monitor curriculum and pedagogy implementation; support school leaders in providing feedback and support to educators
Regularly observe classroom instruction, partnering with campus leaders to ensure high quality program implementation.
Guide the implementation of a comprehensive support system that empowers every educator to effectively deliver their curriculum using the intended pedagogy.
Provide direction, supervision, and coaching to direct reports
Provide support and learning experiences to equip team members with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully perform their duties.
Effectively delegate projects and tasks, providing clear expectations and timelines.
Implement Equitas performance management systems in ways that nurture the Equitas values of Joy, Belonging, Community, Growth, and Advocacy.
Develop, facilitate, and support professional development for school leaders and educators
Lead the implementation of data cycles; facilitate frequent, proactive, and action-oriented data analysis.
Provide any support necessary to ensure that every school has a year-long, comprehensive professional development plan for educators that is aligned with the Equitas academic vision.
Support school leaders in providing professional development that is aligned with the principles of adult learning.
Design and facilitate adult learning experiences for principals, instructional specialists, grade level lead teachers, and other team members.
Ensure that educators have access to high quality instructional materials, aligned to the Equitas Approach
Curate curricula, instructional materials, and assessments.
As necessary, facilitate curriculum adoption processes.
Serve as Equitas Academy’s liaison with curriculum and assessment vendors and other external partners.
Collaborate with and learn alongside network office teammates
Build relationships and lead cross functional projects with various departments.
Engage in ongoing professional development.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
At least 3 years of teaching experience
At least 3 years of educational leadership experience, with a focus on curriculum and/or instruction
Experience working in historically marginalized communities
Proven track record of achieving successful student outcomes
Experience achieving exceptional academic outcomes as the principal of an elementary, middle, or high school
Experience designing and facilitating high quality professional development that transforms teaching practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a school principal
A California teaching credential
Administrative Services Credential
Expertise in mathematics and/or literacy instruction, with a focus on intervention and foundational skills
Expertise in instructional coaching and leadership coaching
Successful experience leading large-scale change processes, including collaboration with faculty, staff, students, families, and community partners
Skills, Traits, and Dispositions:
