The Operations Manager will follow and promote Kayden’s core values, integrity, safety, teamwork, innovation and excellence. This position is responsible for ensuring that quality, health, safety, and environment are optimized at all field locations. Daily site visits are required. As the Operations Manager, you are responsible for coaching, mentoring and training Field Operations Supervisors, Service Technicians and Solids Control Technicians onsite to ensure Kayden standards are being followed and met. To uphold client satisfaction, you must visit operational sites to verify Kayden policies and procedures are followed on all sites. This position will also assist the regional shop in preparing equipment for new projects.
Job Functions, Contributions, and Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager must take opportunities to promote Kayden’s products and services. This position will be responsible for driving revenue growth through active field visits, relationship management, and business development initiatives. The role will also require participation in corporate meetings and strategic discussions to align efforts with organizational goals.
Some additional functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leadership & Compliance
- Field visits are a mandatory requirement
- Monitor and implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
- Ensure all Field Operations Supervisors and Technicians comply with company policies and procedures, including Operational, HSE, and Human Resources requirements.
- Confirm and verify that all personnel on site are fit for duty—both mentally and physically.
- Provide one-on-one training to Field Operations Supervisors, Service Technicians, and Technicians as required, ensuring competency through observation, testing, and sign-off.
- Complete driver assessment, behavior-based safety observations, and formal training documentation to engage in training and assist with addressing gaps in programs and provide insight on current processes.
- Reinforcing both safety and operational best practices, as well as any required compliance standards.
- Administering processes for employees and trainees to request assistance during training and on-site activities.
- Supporting and contributing to business process improvements when opportunities for efficiency, safety, or performance enhancements are identified.
- Well-end report reviews and client KPI meetings as necessary
- Client & Field Support
- Act as the liaison for clients by building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Attend sites for new or unfamiliar client requirements, providing operational support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
- Complete management visitation reports and rig audit reports during every site visit.
- Assist in troubleshooting
- Equipment & Facilities Oversight
- Oversee shop equipment scheduling to ensure operational efficiency.
- Oversee regional inventory, ensuring accuracy, availability, and alignment with business needs.
- Coordinate equipment availability
- Monitor supplies and equipment to ensure they are:
- Correct for the job,
- In good working conditions,
- Clean and serviced.
- Truck stock and inventory
- Assist with and make recommendations for regular inspections of facilities, offices, yards, and shops.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local vendors to strengthen community and supply relationships.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance Collaboration
As the Field Operations Manager, you play a key leadership role in fostering a culture of safety awareness throughout Kayden Industries.
- Report all issues and day-to-day activities, working with the Operations team and QHSE Supervisor to correct site issues.
- Collaborate with Operations and HSE to develop corrective action plans for deficiencies, ensuring follow-up and closure.
- Work closely with the QHSE Supervisor to confirm all required field QHSE activities are being carried out.
- Verify that all documentation from Field Operations Supervisors and Technicians is completed accurately and on time.
- Assist the safety team with incident investigations as required.
- Advise on and contribute to safety policies, ensuring they remain practical, relevant, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all accidents, incidents, and near misses are immediately reported and documented in accordance with Kayden’s safety policies and procedures.
- Confirm that Kayden Industries maintains compliance with all applicable government legislation, client-specific requirements, and industry standards.
- Ensure all team members clearly understand their roles and responsibilities for safety compliance through ongoing communication, training, and field engagement.
- Workforce & Team Development
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new Field Technicians.
- Lead and/or participate in morning meetings and other operational briefings to align the team.
- Assisting all employees and trainees in becoming aware of, understanding, and following all required Kayden processes.
- Client-Facing Skills
- The Operations Manager will represent Kayden politely and professionally when working with contractors, operators, and other clients, and deal skillfully with the challenging and varied personalities of all employees.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $130,000.00-$145,000.00 per year
