Job Overview 

Reporting to the Director of Sales, as the Area Sales Manager you are responsible for a large volume of privately held home builders in the Austin market.   

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: 

  • Helping direct the sales team, recruit new talent, and train and develop Sales Representatives.   
  • Managing field sales of assigned communities and achieve communities’ sales goals.
  • Supporting Sales Representative in achieving sales objectives in a manner that is consistent with good business practices and that adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Supporting Sales Staff in helping them create relationships with clients and turn potential purchasers into qualified buyers.   
  • Helping Pacesetter Homes achieve their financial and sales goals by preparing budgets, scheduling New Home Sales Representatives in areas needed, tracking competitors and surveying consumer needs and trends.

Essential Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; associate degree in business or related field preferred
  • At least three years of management of new home sales staff 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong relationship, self-organization, and problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and various accounting software.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Working Conditions 

You will work 30% in the Pacesetter Homes corporate office; the other 70% traveling to model homes to meet with sales team.  Work outside of normal business hours may be required.
