Context :
Axens Project Operations Business Division (POP) mission is to provide advanced technologies, basic engineering design, modular units design and technical services to its customers.
Process design team is looking for an intern. This department works on basic engineering projects and Modular Units Projects development for Axens’ customers but also on new technologies development.
Among these new technologies, BioTfueL and E-Fuel chains aim to reduce off the dependence of transportation sectors on petroleum resources by proposing competitive solutions to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) while addressing today’s environmental concerns.
Internship will be focused on Gasel® technology, one of the keystone of these chains that converts synthesis gas (H2+CO) from various origins (biomass, residues, carbon capture, low carbon gaseous feedstock) - into aromatic/sulfur free liquid fuels (XTL).
Tasks and activities:
Fully integrated within the process design team, you will work on the optimization of Gasel ® technology. To that purpose, your tasks will be:
· Developing and/or improving the design guidelines along with calculation tools for specific pieces of equipment in the technology.
· Improve/update reference drawings of the technology based on feedback from recent projects.
· Based on the progress, you may perform other activities for process improvement, such as simulation studies. Your activities may be expanded to other units of the chain.
Profile :
· Currently in your last year of engineer school, specializing in Process/Chemical Engineering, you are looking for a 5 to 6 months internship.
· You are seeking technical challenges, you are eager to learn, and able to understand quickly new concepts. You are proactive and curious.
· You are autonomous, setting your own targets and reporting your progress and difficulties frequently. You have a good team spirit and the willingness to integrate a motivated team.
· Advanced competencies in Word, Excel are mandatory, as well as a good level in written and spoken English Simulation skills in ProII simulation software are a plus.
