Learning begins in the classroom but there’s no better place to gain real-world experience than with Stantec. Interns are an integral part of our teams, working to solve some of the world's most complex challenges.

As an intern, you’ll work alongside our experienced practitioners and with our clients and communities. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills, build your network, and provide opportunities that set you up for success.

Successful candidates will receive mentoring and training from Sr. Technologists who have a world class reputation for their skillful design of complex industrial mechanical and piping systems.

Located in our Fredericton, NB office and serving clients in the Pulp and Paper, Wood Composites, Oil and Gas, Power and Utilities, Food, Mining and Environmental industries, our students are responsible for:

  • Drawing preparation using AutoCAD 2023.
  • Design and 3D modeling of piping and mechanical systems using Plant3D.
  • Data collection and verification in our client’s facilities.
  • Field representation and drawing interpretation.

 

Qualifications

Completion of first year Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering

Must be self-motivated, team oriented, efficient, and a good communicator

Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically in Windows maneuvering, Word, Excel and Outlook is desirable

Ability to work in an environment of constantly changing technology and project assignment

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
