SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER, TUSTIN, CA
Responsibilities: Support NPD on the development of product requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand trend failure items in the field and report corrective actions along with implementation dates. Communicate monthly to stakeholders on current trend items identified and activity to correct those items. Create internal testing standards (Documents/Process/Feedback). Supporting in the development of all new products testing requirements based off product design. Coordinates all testing for prototype and 1st article samples. Develop a standardized testing plan and reporting format and frequency. Establish and approve new testing partners to support future programs and products. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand what the top failures are within the Delivery Solution space. Develop standards for testing top failures and provide weekly updates on improvement activity. Perform teardown analysis of returned parts to understand true root cause. Represents Rehrig Pacific Company by demonstrating our values in all interactions with suppliers and internal stakeholders. (Living our Values). Maintains clear, timely communication between suppliers and Rehrig regarding all supplier quality topics. (Collaborates). Provides formal reports on supply chain metrics and activities to Rehrig senior leadership and internal stakeholders. Acts promptly and with agility regarding testing or quality risks and issues to prevent disruption to Rehrig operations. (Decision Quality & Situational Adaptability).
Qualifications: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELOR'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING OR CLOSELY RELATED FIELD PLUS 5 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE AS A QUALITY ENGINEER OR CLOSELY RELATED OCCUPATION.
Special Requirements:
EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE OF:
1. Experience in testing standards and reporting
2. Experience with Quality standards (ISO9001, IATF 16949)
3. Experience with firsthand technical analysis.
4. Experience as a project lead/engineer for new product implementations into manufacturing (internally or suppliers)
5. Advanced experience applying statistical process control techniques to evaluate and improve process performance.
6. Advanced Root Cause & Corrective Actions (RCCA) skills
7. Advanced understanding of DFMEA and PFMEA
8. Minitab
MUST POSSESS EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE SUFFICIENT TO ADEQUATELY PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB BEING OFFERED. EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE MAY BE GAINED THROUGH EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE OR EDUCATION. SUCH EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE CANNOT BE QUANTIFIED BY TIME.

� Travel to other US Rehrig offices in Buckeye, AZ; Dallas, TX; Monterey Park, CA � 50% of time
� International travel to Rehrig sites, customer sites, and suppliers in the China, India, Mexico, Canada, etc. � 20% of time
Offered Salary: $140,774 - $150,000 per year
