Summary of Position:
The Development Coordinator for Major Gifts will provide crucial administrative and program support for Milton Academy�s advancement initiatives, with a concentration in major/planned gifts and stewardship, that are central to driving the school�s strategic vision. The coordinator provides administrative support to the Executive Director of Development (EDOD) and the Major Gifts team (MG), which includes Planned Gifts and Stewardship. This position will also collaborate closely with colleagues to execute ongoing and special projects including but not limited to support for major/principal donor cultivation, proposals, stewardship, and other communications, and campaign preparation initiatives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the MG team, and backup support for the Chief Advancement Officer.

Provide administrative coordination for the EDOD including meeting scheduling and planning, calendar management, and special projects as assigned.

Draft written materials with a special focus on major/principal donors and prospects, including meeting briefings, donor profiles, proposals, presentation decks, thank you letters, general stewardship, and gift documentation.

Assist EDOD and Gift Officers with prospect and solicitation follow up including collaborating with campus partners and sourcing information when needed.

Arrange travel for the EDOD and Gift Officers; including international travel prep and support. Assist with reconciliation of expenses.

Coordinate with budget managers and the Business Office on annual department budget submission, process invoices and receipts as needed.

Coordinate team meeting agendas/scheduling, take notes for meetings, coordinate meeting follow up and next steps.

Maintain accurate records in Raiser�s Edge for EDOD and Officers. Prepare prospect lists and other reports from Raiser�s Edge regularly.

Support Planned Giving program marketing needs, events, stewardship, and prospect tracking.

Coordinate with the Advancement Operations team on regular reporting for team members, including pipeline data for the monthly pipeline meetings.

Collaborate with other coordinators to support office-wide initiatives and projects.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Supervision to be received: Reports to the Executive Director of Development
Supervision to be exercised: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position, but independence and autonomy are required.
Education/Certification/Licensure
Required: A bachelor�s degree
Preferred: A bachelor�s degree
Experience
Required: 1+ years of office experience
Preferred: Experience working in an independent boarding / day school

Physical Abilities
Required:

Must be able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours each day in conjunction with OSHA requirements.

Must be able to move around the Milton Academy campus without restriction.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
