Job Description

Title:                           Intramural Activity Coach

Qualifications: Teaching certificate preferred. Minimum of 60 hours of college credit.

Reports to:    Principal or Assistant Principal

Supervises:    Intramural Activity. Assume supervisory control over all students in program when such control is  needed.

Job Goal:  Provide an opportunity for every student to participate in the intramural sport activity. To instruct students in  individual team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary for them.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To provide wholesome and healthy activities for recreation and relaxation from strenuous school work.
• To provide equipment, facilities and encourage wholesome participation in the sport activity.
• To stimulate an interest in athletics and recreation through the program.
• To provide an opportunity to develop sportsmanship of the highest order. Everything that sportsmanship implies should be developed on playing fields and playing courts of the School.
• To provide an opportunity to learn the important values developed through team spirit and cooperation.
• To provide the opportunity for every student regardless of his/her ability to realize the joy and fun of participation in the sport.
