Job Description:
Seeking a highly qualified, onsite Help Desk Technician to join its IT Department on a contracted basis. This professional will work alongside the existing full-time Help Desk team to support ongoing technical initiatives and provide frontline IT support to users across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to end users in person, over the phone, and via remote tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Support users with applications such as email, word processing, operating systems, and printing.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment.
- Log and track service requests using the City’s ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams when needed.
- Document procedures, issues, and resolutions accurately.
