Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Emergency Float Pool
Cedar Park Med is hiring compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Emergency Float Pool. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your skills and dedication make a real impact. Level 1 trauma experience is preferred.
Schedule/shift:
Day, Evening, and Night shifts available. 6, 12-hour shifts in two weeks period. Every other weekend is required.
Hiring for both local and traveler positions! Only candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for traveler roles. Rates vary based on experience and whether the position is local or traveler.
Position Overview:
As a CNA in the Emergency Float Pool, you will deliver direct and indirect nursing care activities such as obtaining vital signs, assisting with toileting, bathing, and feeding, and working as a safety companion to patients who are identified as safety risks. You will collaborate with the healthcare team across multiple units, adapting to patient needs and providing compassionate, high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care including bathing, toileting, feeding, and obtaining vital signs.
Serve as a safety companion for patients at risk.
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
Maintain a safe and clean environment in compliance with healthcare standards.
Respond to changing patient needs while demonstrating knowledge of growth and development.
Support quality improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.
Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
Promote positive public relations and patient satisfaction.
Participate in ongoing professional development.
Make ethical decisions in all aspects of patient care.
Requirements:
Current New York State CNA certification.
BLS certification (required).
Minimum of one year of patient care experience.
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.
Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
