We are seeking a Crisis Center Manager. As part of a multidisciplinary team-based service, this role provides clinical leadership and expertise, supervises assigned staff, and provides consultation to clinicians and providers to ensure appropriate levels of care and access to necessary services. This position is the clinical lead for the team providing clinical services in the Crisis Center, which includes a Brief Intervention Clinic and Crisis Stabilization Unit.
The shift supervisor manages the services provided and workflow through direct clinician interventions, delegation, and coordination of staff roles. This position will ensure quality care for all people seeking assistance, excellent customer service, and the appropriateness of staff interactions with people served. The shift supervisor will manage all operations of the team on shift. Additionally, this position will ensure collaboration and coordination with community providers and reinforce a team culture that is positive, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the people served and the community.
Network 180’s Behavioral Health Crisis Center is a 24/7 facility that serves adults 18 years and older and includes a walk-in Brief Intervention Clinic and a secure Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The setting provides assessment and unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises. The Crisis Center aims to provide these services to individuals whose crisis will typically resolve within a few hours, however, may require up to seventy-two (72) hours of treatment; and where services can be voluntary or involuntary.
The CSU fills a key gap in the Kent County Crisis Continuum of Care and provides more efficient, effective, equitable crisis behavioral health care in a setting designed and staffed to provide this type of treatment.
The CSU also aims to divert individuals from jail, emergency departments, and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings to an appropriate least restrictive treatment setting whenever it can be achieved safely and successfully.
This position is scheduled Saturday’s from 6:30pm to 7:00am, and additional participation in a 1-hour manager meeting. This assignment is in-person at 260 Jefferson Ave NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
- Fully Licensed in the State of Michigan as a Master Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Psychologist.
- At least two years of post-Master’s degree experience in the behavioral health field.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and treatment methodology.
- Computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs and telehealth.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Supervisory experience.
- MCBAP, CAADC certification.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
