Description

Schumacher Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our service department at our West Palm Beach location. This role is ideal for someone with proven dealership experience who can drive performance, develop their team, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.


As Service Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations of the service department, managing advisors, technicians, and support staff while ensuring quality repairs, high CSI scores, and efficient workflow. You’ll play a key role in building lasting customer relationships, controlling expenses, and fostering a positive, professional culture that reflects Schumacher’s commitment to “Serving Customers for Life.”


What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop the service department team (advisors, techs, support staff) to deliver results in sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily operations: scheduling, repair quality, warranty submissions, accurate documentation, and compliance with manufacturer policies.
  • Monitor KPIs, including time-to-repair, CSI, labor sales, and warranty performance; implement corrective action when needed.
  • Drive strong financial performance by managing expenses, reviewing receivables, and supporting promotional/service campaigns.
  • Maintain high CSI scores by addressing customer concerns immediately, conducting 24-hour follow-ups, and ensuring top-quality repairs with minimal comebacks.
  • Serve as the point of contact for factory representatives and collaborate closely with fixed operations leadership on strategy, performance, and future goals.
  • Foster a safe, professional, and customer-focused culture through consistent communication, coaching, and team development.
  • Ensure proper care, storage, and inventory of tools and maintain a clean, compliant service facility.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of proven success as a Service Manager in a dealership environment (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Automotive Management, or related field preferred.
  • ASE Certifications required.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate a high-performing team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering strong financial results and customer satisfaction.
