Job Description Summary
Organization's Summary Statement: The Program Management Specialist provides assistance in managing the Facilities, Operations & Event Office within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position acts as the office administrator and serves as the liaison between the Athletics Department and various campus departments, including Transportation, Facility Management, Mail Services, and Telecommunications, by coordinating parking, phone services, mail delivery, security measures, and key management for the department and its employees. This position is responsible for all procurement operations, organizing meetings, preparing reports, and mentoring student employees. Will serve as the representative for the Facilities, Operations, and Events office administration for Football and Men’s Basketball gameday and perform other duties as assigned. Providing exceptional customer service and handling incoming concerns courteously and professionally is essential in this position.Physical Demands: The Position requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, along with the ability to operate standard office equipment with manual dexterity. The role involves occasional standing or walking to attend meetings or conduct orientations and may require lifting light office materials (up to 25 pounds). Visual acuity and effective verbal and auditory communication are essential for reviewing payroll data and interacting with employees in person, by phone, or virtually.
Preferences: One (1) to three (3) years of experience in collegiate athletics facilities offices or related environments preferred. One to three years of experience at a multi-facility operation, preferably in a large college environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree AND Two years experience in administrative staff work. Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.Additional Job Details
