Supervise Visual Inspection Training program and personnel. Routine communication/collaboration with other business units/Pfizer locations to ensure common understanding and implementation of corporate procedures. Manage visual inspection training processes and improvements.  Supporting audits and inspection online. Oversee defect kits/library and qualification panels.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise the daily operations and development of the Visual Inspection Trainers.

  • A key player in creating, maintaining, and revising the documents and processes developed to support the visual inspection program.

  • Supervises the visual inspection activities associated with the visual inspection training program, processes and commitments.

  • Assures training material and methods comply with industry standards.

  • Review/Approval of all training documents processed for visual inspection.

  • Establishes performance expectations and conducts verbal and written evaluations based on expectations.

  • Identify and assess future and current training and coaching needs through job analysis, career paths, and annual performance appraisals.

  • Support Regulatory and Customer audits as well as remediation efforts.

  • Exemplifies the Pfizer’s cultural values.

  • Providing guidance and support to ensure professional growth for each team member.

  • Develop, maintain, monitor, and evaluate training materials and programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure effectiveness and fostering a culture of operational excellence.

  • Solve complex problems by leveraging experience from various areas and fostering a collaborative problem-solving environment

  • Support Defect Build of Visual Inspection standards for both automated and human qualification.  

  • Own and complete investigations, CAPAs, CR actions and other project actions

  • Enter and manipulate data in various software packages (i.e. Microsoft WORD, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, PDOCS, and others).

  • Must complete and maintain qualification for all visual inspection training.

  • Supervise manual inspection activities taking place on the line.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by manager.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of
    experience; OR a master's degree with more than 0+ years of experience;
    OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school
    diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience

  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and decision-making skills. 

  •  Requires assertive, tactful, persuasive and assertive human relations skills. 

  •  Requires comprehensive knowledge of GMPs, applicable SOPs and production processes, and inspection practices.

  • Satisfactory performance and attendance is required. 

  • Knowledge of computer (Word, Excel, and Access). 

  • Requires a high level of organizational skills, high degree of accuracy and excellent interpersonal skills.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Advanced degree in a related field

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles

  • Experience with e-learning platforms

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage direct reports effectively

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,300.00 to $133,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
