Position Summary:
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a clean and organized work environment, and follows all safety protocols. The Warehouse Clerk works closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage. Log, shelve and/or deliver item to various locations around the resort.
- Responsible for performing accurate stock transfers and maintaining inventory control system.
- Prepare outgoing packages for shipment and record daily shipments in logbook.
- Assist in coordinating purchase requests with internal and external departments. Provide troubleshooting for department managers on inventory control system.
- Organize warehouse for efficient use of space and maintain cleanliness of warehouse (mop, sweep and remove trash), and follow safety standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Rotate stock based on first in first out principle to ensure products do not expire and or spoil.
- Stock and maintain vending machines.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Place purchase orders with vendors when Warehouse Manager is absent.
- Send emails to vendors or managers.
- Operate a snow cat for remote location deliveries.
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications- current and valid driver’s license. Clear drug screen required if operating a snowcat.
Technical- Moderate computer literacy
Physical Capabilities- Able to lift up to 50 lbs by yourself, and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Will be walking and lifting/carrying object the majority of your shift. Expected to work in all weather conditions and temperatures. Will be walking on slick surfaces regularly.
Additional- Extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and events is preferred.
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required- English reading, writing and communication plus basic math required.
Minimum time in related position- Prior experience in warehousing, food handling procedures, and data entry is preferred.
