Team Lead - HR Standards, Systems & Services* in Bonn
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration of two years. At the end of the initial two-year contractual period, there are good prospects for conversion of the contract from a fixed-term to an open-ended employment contract. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
As Team Leader of the “HR Standards, Systems & Services” team, you will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of a highly motivated team, currently consisting of six colleagues. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the strategic direction and driving the continuous development of all activities and processes within the team. You will act as the direct point of contact for the Head of HR and serve as key interface across the organization on cross-cutting issues related to “HR Standards, Systems & Services.” In addition, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cross-functional projects within your area of responsibility. This position offers you the opportunity to actively shape HR work in a dynamic, international environment and make a substantial contribution to the advancement of our global HR efforts.
Your responsibilities
- Leading, guiding, and supporting the team in all relevant HR processes
- Translating the global strategic organizational goals into concrete objectives and action areas for the team
- Ensuring proper HR administration, including payroll, occupational pension schemes, and the handling of expatriate taxation
- Advising and supporting the Executive Management Team on all contractual and compensation-related matters
- Ensuring compliance with the required quality standards within the “HR Standards, Systems & Services” team
- Monitoring and enforcing the correct application of internal regulations (in particular works agreements) and compliance with applicable laws (labor law, social security law, data protection, tax law)
- Taking responsibility for developing and further advancing global HR standards to achieve Welthungerhilfe’s strategic goals and ensure the highest levels of compliance and quality
- Continuously analyzing, optimizing, and further developing all team processes and activities
- Monitoring and reporting on all relevant KPIs while implementing innovative strategies to foster data-driven decision-making
- Initiating and advancing forward-looking areas of work and providing actionable recommendations for the Executive Management Team and Head of HR to ensure the continuous advancement and future orientation of HR work
Your profile
- University degree in Human Resources or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position as well as proven leadership experience in international HR context
- Experience in the design and management of strategic HR projects
- In-depth knowledge of labor and social security law
- Excellent MS Office skills and proven experience with HR systems
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- High problem-solving competence and strategic thinking ability
- Strong conceptual and implementation skills
- Advisory competence in intercultural contexts
- Strong awareness of the increasing value of data and willingness to actively integrate data-driven approaches into your work
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
