SUMMARY: This position is responsible for inspecting, installing, and maintaining records on playground equipment; maintaining playground and fall surfaces. They will also address immediate operational and/or safety concerns; assist skilled trades as assigned; ensure adequate materials are available to complete assignments in a timely manner.

9. Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars to convey and/or gather information required to perform functions. Review plans and specifications to ensure they meet district, state, and federal standards. |

Installs a variety of objects and systems (e.g. playground equipment, chain link fence, snow fence, traffic control barriers, concrete, slope paving, drain pans, concrete flumes, etc.) for the purpose of establishing positive drainage and maintaining facilities in a safe, comfortable and operating condition. |

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, required
- 1-3 years’ experience in a pest control, playground maintenance, heavy duty machine operation, or another related field, preferred
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Valid state issued Driver’s License, required
- Certified Playground Safety Inspector course, required within 2 years of hire
- Pesticide Applicator License, required within 1 year of hire
- Must obtain and maintain Defensive Driving certificate by the conclusion of the district-provided training course TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:

- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate/required safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:
- Operating knowledge of and?experience with personal computers and peripherals?
- Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as?telephones, copier, fax machine, etc.?
- Operating knowledge?of and experience with office productivity programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, etc.
- Operating knowledge of district information technology systems and department-specific?software and equipment required within 3 months after entering position
- Operational knowledge of all powered equipment used to perform job functions
