Campus Federal Credit Union is seeking an AVP of Marketing to join our team! The primary purpose of this position is to assist Campus Federal in our Mission, to enhance the lives of our members and the communities we serve. This is accomplished by providing excellent service to members and to team members. A key component of this service is to identify member needs and provide appropriate credit union product solutions that will enhance the lives of our members.
This position will assist the VP of Marketing by leading & directing a high performing Marketing Department responsible for creating and implementing integrated marketing campaigns and corporate initiatives to assist in accomplishing Campus Federal’s strategic direction and corporate goals. Additionally, it will oversee all advertising creative and development, product development, reviews and maintenance, market and industry research, MCIF systems and reporting, social media platforms, the website and public relations initiatives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist the VP of Marketing in managing daily operations of the Marketing department; review all materials prior to VP approval.
- Provide clear direction and priorities for the team; set project timelines and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Manages marketing staff, including daily coordination, training, performance management, timekeeping and adherence to Credit Union policies.
- Maintain project tracking via project management platforms.
- Manage the department budget, including planning, tracking, invoicing, and reporting.
- Direct full-service ad agencies in the production, placement and distribution of advertising and promotional materials.
- Lead creation of in-house advertising assets including brochures, flyers and promotional materials.
- Develop marketing plans and targeted campaigns, including offers within Online Banking’s Credit Central.
- Create and manage the editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of campaigns and member communications.
- Create and manage email marketing efforts including creating monthly eNews for members, scheduling and monitoring email marketing pieces promoting products, services and events.
- Direct creative collateral for the Business Development team, including financial education materials, event invitations, teaser cards, presentations and more.
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital strategies; oversee implementation, post-campaign analysis and ROI reporting.
- Oversee management of digital ads, including but not limited to Google Ads (display and search) and Analytics accounts; create/update ads and present campaign KPIs.
- Oversee all aspects of the Credit Union’s website via CMS, including content updates, alerts, rates, compliance and landing page development.
- Write and publish blog content for the “Learn” section of the website.
- Manage Google My Business listings for branches and ATMs, including reviews and updates.
- Monitor and adjust the digital onboarding program based on performance metrics and best practices.
- Manage official social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn); create content and respond to member interactions.
- Draft and distribute internal and external communications for members and employees.
- Draft press releases and coordinate media outreach; build relationships with media outlets.
- Prepare talking points and speeches for the CEO and other executives for events, presentations and videos.
- Collaborate with Consumer Services on communications regarding service issues and outages.
- Ensure compliance with all marketing-related regulations, including advertising audits and website reviews.
- Manage communications in the event of a disaster, ensuring timely and accurate messaging to members.
- Evaluate compatibility of third-party software interfaces and assist with facilities decisions related to branch design and branding.
- Serve as liaison between Marketing, internal departments and external vendors to ensure brand consistency and timely asset delivery.
- Lead projects involving outsourced vendors and other business units.
- Conduct vendor management reviews.
- Manage relationships with vendors including in-branch TVs, member checks, statement printing and affiliate partners.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Marketing or Communications field with 2 years direct supervision experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing branding and corporate communications.
- Experience in financial service or retail industry is preferred.
- Strong judgment and ability to remain agile and engage team members in a fast-moving environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
