About this opportunity :
In this role, you will collect, prepare, measure, monitor and report on the profitability of individual projects and business areas. You'll work with the project managers and project teams to use the project profitability information to identify areas for improvement and assist in the implementation of the continuous improvement ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP Project Accounting:
- Review actual performance on projects versus costed and explain variances. Report information to project managers and project teams.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely entering of new projects this includes the interpretation and conversion of proposals into an SAP format,
- Entering cost and revenue budget for a project
- Responsible for revenue recognition (reviewing percentage complete, entering events and time and labor on projects), and reconciling in revenue to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for raising sales invoices and credit notes in a timely manner, reconciling to the accounts receivable ledger and General Ledger, checking proposal and answering customer queries.
- Maintain stability project data, liaison with the QC stability team lead to ensure revenue is recognized in the time points and invoices are sent out when due.
- Run the monthly reports, review the output to check for major variances and post transactions to the general ledger.
- Reconcile various accounts to the general ledger at month end
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years’ work-related experience or 5 + years related work experience.
- Understanding of revenue recognition rules and standard accounting for manufacturing companies
- Knowledge of SAP software or similar ERP system, preferably with at least 1 year experience working with SAP Projects
- Position requires proficiency with financial programs and Excel
- Position requires strong analytical skills to identify the factors contributing to variances
- Position requires strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to be flexible in prioritizing tasks and deadlines
The annualized salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $102,400.00.
