About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Regional Stores Officer to join the team on a permanent basis in Griffith.
The Regional Stores Officer will be required to account for the day-to-day stores operations and be responsible for the safe and secure handling of stores and materials within the regional stores environment. The Officer is responsible for supporting the Regional Services Manager and Materials Manager to achieve a common goal of successfully delivering on the W&D objectives and targets. The role is responsible for ensuring that standard procedures and work practices are implemented with the goal of delivering on value and service to the business.
About you
You are an experienced stores operations professional with a strong background in managing materials and inventory within large organisations. You bring proven expertise in the efficient handling, movement, and storage of project materials, including unloading, inspecting, receipting, and loading using forklifts and other relevant equipment. Your solid understanding of stock management procedures is complemented by your ability to conduct accurate stock checks and maintain detailed records.
You are committed to applying best business practices to minimise waste and reduce costs, all while ensuring a safe and healthy workplace. Your knowledge of warehousing policies and regional stores procedures enables you to operate effectively and contribute to continuous improvement in stores operations.
Required Qualifications
Mandatory:
Certificate III in Warehousing Operations or demonstrated capability through past employment
experience and/or relevant qualifications.
Driver Licence.
Forklift Licence.
