Supplier Manager - Commercial Components
YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Supplier Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies and managing suppliers for complex spend categories. They will perform sourcing activities for a defined portfolio of categories at the global and/or local level, in alignment with Group strategy, to drive commodity performance, ensure compliance, and contribute to overall business profitability.

YOUR MISSION

  • Developing and implementing short- and mid-term global commodity strategies for assigned categories, including strategic areas. This involves performing and consolidating conclusions from diverse and/or complex analyses (e.g., spend analysis, cost breakdown) and conducting business continuity assessments.
  • Defining the annual savings forecast and identifying associated risks and opportunities.
  • Managing tenders (RFQs) for complex or strategically allocated commodities.
  • Negotiating contracts with global and local suppliers, covering elements such as pricing, discount rates, quality standards, duration, delivery timelines, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Managing complex supplier base activities and autonomously leading supplier relationships at a global level. This includes monitoring KPI trends and implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • Understanding and validating supplier rationales to drive productivity and meet quality requirements. This also includes assessing risks and verifying mitigation plans.
  • Scouting and qualifying new suppliers to align with category strategy, with the aim of developing a sustainable and unique supplier base.
  • Conducting detailed analyses for assigned spend categories. For relevant commodities (based on cost, strategic importance, etc.), monitoring the market through ongoing benchmarking and cost breakdowns to ensure continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and technology. Escalating major non-conformities when necessary.
  • Performing business continuity assessments, including financial risk evaluations, supplier dependency analysis, capacity assessments, and dual sourcing analysis.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Languages:

  • Minimum Education: Master's Degree in Engineering is preferred; Business, Economics is also accepted.
  • Excellent English is mandatory (written and spoken).
  • Fluency in French and Italian is an advantage.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years in strategic sourcing in an international manufacturing company.
  • Experience in international negotiation, contracting, supplier and claim management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills as key element in order to interact both with suppliers and internal stakeholders at different hierarchical levels, and capability of managing conflicting priorities.
  • Experience outside of own country of origin is a plus.
  • Target oriented, resilient and able to work autonomously.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office application (Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc); SAP, Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
