Job Summary
The Community Liaison position was established for the purpose of providing support to the instructional program through encouraging and growing parent/family and student involvement in school programs, activities, and extended learning opportunities. Through a “whole-child” approach this position will assist in making connections and accessing available school/district resources and services to improve student outcomes and support families in the local community.
This position will interact with school staff and the community (e.g. business and social services, etc.) for the purpose of developing partnerships to provide resources for students and their families while building relationships with the school site/district. This will include assisting in facilitating and preparing for parent workshops, outreach programs for families, and participating in school/district activities and community events which may include time commitments outside of the regular school day such as evening and weekend hours.
The Community Liaison position under the California Community Schools Partnership Program will be working closely with the site administration to meet the needs of the school site and local community. The position will interact with other school sites/districts and the San Diego County Office of Education who are also engaged in aspects of the community schools program for San Diego county. The roles and responsibilities of the position may be updated to meet the goals and necessary outcomes of the California Community Schools Partnership Program. The position will be grant funded through the 2028-2029 year.
Requirements / Qualifications
Job related experience is desired. Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Valid Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability
Salary Info
Range 19 (Starting at $ 19.35-$ 23.51 per hour) + Longevity after 6 years of service with the District
