Kawasaki Motors Corp., Engine Division, headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with customer accounts to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, and collections all while maintaining healthy company cash flow.
Responsibilities:
- Review orders held for credit issues and assess credit line increases.
- Collection of past due accounts.
- Post daily payments to appropriate customer accounts and processes daily remote bank deposits.
- Research discrepancies pertaining to customer payments.
- Identify potential problems or communication breakdowns between Kawasaki and customers and assist in finding a solution to the problem.
- Performs administrative duties, including but not limited to mailing and emailing invoices and statements.
- Interfaces with the Customer Care Department to resolve customer disputes.
- Resolves NSF situations.
- Answers inquiries about dealer account status, account balance, payment discrepancies, and refund of dealer credit balance.
- Communicate with dealers by telephone and email to resolve the reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of sale, methods of payment, and how to access invoices and statements on the website.
- Records information about the financial status of the customer and the status of collection efforts. Escalates to sending a final demand for payment as necessary.
- Turns over severe delinquent accounts to the supervisor for review and sends them to the collections department.
- Reviews of new dealer credit applications, including pulling the credit report and submitting the file to the department manager with a credit limit recommendation.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required, Associate’s degree or some college preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related finance field.
- Solid knowledge and experience working with Microsoft's Word and Excel, Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
