About the Role:
As a contracted MIHP Perinatal Therapist, you will deliver virtual and occasionally in-person therapeutic services to new moms. Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting comprehensive assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for mothers in Genesee, Co. As mothers graduate from the Genesee Co. Heathy Start program, we want to ensure continuity of care and access to experienced therapists, and your assistance creating a path forward to continue therapy services will be essential in enhancing the outcomes we’re achieving through our partnership with Healthy Start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to new mothers (18m post-partum and beyond).
- Conduct thorough mental health and needs assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans.
- Serve as a liaison between families and community resources.
- Maintain detailed case documentation and progress notes.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
- Licensed (Limited License also accepted) as a mental health professional in Michigan (LP, LLP, TLLP, LLMSW, LMSW).
- Knowledge of social work services and working with at-risk families.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

This contractual role will range from $40-$48/hr, and likely serve up to 15 mothers per week as they graduate from our Healthy Start program.
