Uniform Production – Sort Operator
The Sort Operator is a full-time position working four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday (most weeks), from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This role rotates between three key areas of production that ensure clean garments are organized and ready for customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sort garments by route, delivery day, wearer, and customer.
Identify repair or upgrade needs and move garments to the repair area.
Reclassify returned garments to determine if they can be placed back into inventory.
Assist in loading garments for Route 21.
Position Requirements
Ability to see and accurately read ID tags.
Comfortable distinguishing and organizing number sequences visually and from verbal instructions.
High degree of attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts.
Ability to use both hands repetitively throughout the day.
Ability to reach above and below shoulder level as part of daily tasks.
Work Environment
Exposure to noise, cramped quarters, unpleasant odors, dirt, and heavily soiled mats & mops.
While indoors 98% of the time, temperatures may vary from 60–90 degrees, depending on weather.
Periodic route rides with Service Representatives.
Regular interaction with Plant Managers and Route Service Reps.
Requires the ability to communicate, follow through, and follow up in both verbal and written form.
What We Offer
4-day work week (Monday–Thursday).
Pay increases at 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months.
$600 signing bonus with partial payouts at 9 weeks and 6 months.
