About the Role:

The General Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of operations within a manufacturing facility specializing in agribusiness and food processing. This role is pivotal in driving business strategy, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate fleet and facility maintenance, and optimize sales management to meet organizational goals. They will be responsible for aligning operational activities with the company’s strategic objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance. Ultimately, the General Manager will ensure sustainable growth and profitability by integrating operational excellence with market demands in the manufacturing sector.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in operations management within the manufacturing or agribusiness sector.
  • Proven experience in fleet management and facility maintenance in an industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food processing techniques and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA regulations).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation in food production.
  • Certification in food safety management or quality assurance (e.g., SQF, ISO 22000).
  • Familiarity with sales management and customer relationship management in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working in a multinational or large-scale manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to enhance operational performance and market competitiveness.
  • Oversee daily operations including fleet management, facility maintenance, and food processing activities to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead and mentor department heads and staff to achieve production targets, quality benchmarks, and sales objectives.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to align production capabilities with customer demand and market trends.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and industry best practices throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Manage budgets, resource allocation, and capital expenditures to optimize operational costs and profitability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational workflows, and employee engagement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
