APPRAISAL REVIEW SPECIALIST en Sunrise Banks

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will support the appraisal management and review process for residential properties. The position will also assist with supporting the Collateral Solutions Manager with commercial appraisal and environmental orders.  This position regularly communicates with third-party vendors.  A thorough understanding of USPAP compliance, bank regulatory guidance regarding appraisal independence and appraisal standards for secondary market mortgages is necessary.  Prior bank appraisal review experience is necessary. Current appraisal license is preferred. 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Review appraisal requests for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with loan production staff to obtain information to ensure correct product and scope of work is ordered.
• Prioritize, engage, and manage appraisal orders to ensure timeliness needed for individual transactions.
• Maintain tracking system and communicate regularly with loan production staff and third-party appraisers regarding status updates, issues, scope of work changes, and delivery dates.
• Conduct reviews for residential appraisals and evaluations completed by third-party appraisers.
• Review appraisals for compliance with bank policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 
• Review secondary market appraisal reports for compliance with current selling guide requirements.
• Communicate with third-party appraisers to resolve deficiencies and maintain an audit trail of communication and revisions.
• Complete internal evaluations for residential and commercial properties as needed.
• Validate invoices meet terms of engagement letter, code, and track for timely payment.
• Elevate unresolved deficiencies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school degree or GED Required.
• College degree in business related field preferred.
• Minnesota and South Dakota Certified Residential or General Appraisal License preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of current experience in commercial or five (5) years of residential real estate appraisal strongly preferred.
• Environmental due diligence experience beneficial
• Current appraisal experience for secondary market transactions preferred.
• Appraisal review experience required.
• Solid skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Experience with Valutrac beneficial.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Expected salary range DOQ: $55,871.35 to $83,807.03
