This is a remote position with flexibility to work onsite in Philadelphia, PA office.
OVERVIEW:
The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, collaborating with IT project teams and business partners to gather, analyze, and document business requirements using appropriate tools and methodologies. In certain initiatives, the Business Analyst will also take on a lead analyst role, driving requirement definition and solution alignment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Requirements & Stakeholder Engagement. Understand business functionality and translate it into clear application requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business lines to ensure reporting and investment application needs are met. Communicate business priorities to technology teams to drive effective solutions.
Process & Data Integration. Lead efforts to improve process efficiency and data quality. Play a key role in integrating systems such as Global Plus, Charles River, and other Glenmede applications. Responsibilities include testing, post-implementation support, and training.
Project Execution & Governance. Partner with business and technology teams to document improvements and ensure compliance with Glenmede’s Project Management, Data Governance, and Change Management standards. Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies to minimize impact.
Communication & Collaboration. Effectively engage with stakeholders across Operations, Portfolio Management, Wealth Advisory, Compliance, and Platform Solutions to align priorities and drive business outcomes.
Firm Building & Continuous Improvement. Actively contribute to department and firm-wide initiatives aimed at expanding capabilities, solving unmet business needs, enhancing client experience, and improving operational efficiency. Support team and business development efforts as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Developer in the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial data, with emphasis on wealth management, operations, and trading.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
- Ability to consult, analyze, and contribute effectively to project roles and deliverables.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of three to five years with a trust accounting platform. FIS/Global Plus is preferred.
- Experienced in supporting trading and portfolio management on order management systems, preferably Charles River.
- Proficient in SQL and experienced with analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Skilled in documentation, testing, and resolving business and technical issues.
- Partners with development teams and vendors to translate business needs into technical specifications and support implementation.
