Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Technology Evangelist to join our team as a Senior Product Marketing Specialist II, leading the promotion and adoption of Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) technology across key industrial and infrastructure markets.  This role blends technical advocacy, product strategy, and business development to position SPE as a foundational technology for the future of connected environments. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, and field sales teams to drive awareness, ecosystem growth, and customer engagement.

Note: Selected candidate will be hired under the Internal Title of Senior Product Marketing Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the public and internal champion for SPE technology.
  • Represent the company at industry events, standards bodies, and user groups.
  • Create and present thought leadership content (articles, blogs, webinars) focused on SPE and extending to related areas in Data Connectivity.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships and communication with foreign, regional and US headquarters associates and leaders.
  • Collaboration with product management at Blomberg HQ to promote SPE and execute on the overall strategic product plan.
  • Translate technical capabilities of SPE into real-world applications across industries like industrial automation, building infrastructure, and energy infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor offerings and market trends in SPE and related data connectivity segments.
  • Identify emerging customer needs and contribute to new product development initiatives.
  • Provide insights from standards bodies and market feedback to influence product roadmaps.
  • Help define and prioritize use cases and verticals for SPE adoption.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with OEMs, integrators, technology providers and associations.
  • Support field sales and strategic account development through technical expertise and solution positioning.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Product Marketing, Sales, & Solutions) to align go-to-market efforts.
  • Engage with strategic partners to accelerate SPE adoption and interoperability.
  • Develop technical and sales enablement materials for internal teams, distributors, and customers.
  • Conduct oral, online, and written technical presentations and training sessions.
  • Support for field sales and trade show activities focused on SPE.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing & Communications to support campaign development and execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as technology evangelist, product marketing, or business development in industrial networking, ethernet, or data connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of Single Pair Ethernet and its applications in industrial, automotive, or building automation markets.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts in a clear and relatable manner to a diverse audience.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to engage technical and business audiences.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing product direction.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to collaborate with others, build relationships, and involve others in decision making.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deliver results by solving or supporting others in solving problems, prioritizing tasks, and/or resources, and focusing on outcomes.

Essential Job Functions

  • 20–25% travel required, including occasional overseas travel.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods (2–4 hours at a time).
  • Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time).
  • Must be able to travel via automobile, train, or plane for up to 10 hours.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.

Remote Work Policy

According to Phoenix Contact internal policy a hybrid work capacity is required by any employee working within 60 miles from any designated US office location.  Remote work is available for employees residing more than 60 miles from these locations.
