Description

Willow Creek Country Club is seeking a creative and driven Marketing & Communications Manager to oversee the Club’s brand, image, and member communications. This role will manage day-to-day marketing efforts, including email campaigns, newsletters, social media, and event promotion, while collaborating with department heads to develop engaging new events and initiatives that enhance the member experience. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on marketer with strong writing and design skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for elevating member satisfaction and community engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  

Brand & Image Stewardship

  • Own the Willow Creek Country Club brand, ensuring consistency of tone, design, and messaging across all member, community, and public touchpoints.
  • Develop strategies to enhance the Club’s reputation as a premier private club on the Wasatch Front.

Communications & Content Creation

  • Manage all club-wide communication efforts, including crafting engaging email campaigns, digital newsletters, member updates, and event announcements.
  • Write and edit content that is polished, professional, and reflective of the Club’s commitment to professionalism
  • Serve as the point of quality control for all member-facing communication.

Social Media & Digital Presence

  • Manage and grow the Club’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), creating visually compelling and interactive content that showcases events, member life, and Club amenities.
  • Monitor engagement, track analytics, and adapt strategy to maximize reach and member/guest interaction.
  • Respond to inquiries and comments in a timely, professional manner to enhance the Club’s online presence.

Event Promotion & Advertising

  • Design and distribute promotional materials for club events and initiatives (flyers, posters, digital graphics, email campaigns, and social posts).
  • Partner with event organizers and department heads to ensure events are effectively marketed and well-attended.
  • Capture and share photography/videography from events to highlight the member experience.

Strategic Marketing & Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual marketing and communications plan aligned with Club priorities.
  • Support membership growth and retention initiatives through targeted campaigns, storytelling, and digital advertising.
  • Maintain and update the Club website to ensure information is current, accessible, and aligned with brand standards.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with the General Manager, Membership Director, and department heads to align communications with Club goals.
  • Advise leadership on new marketing opportunities, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all departments and initiatives.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field strongly preferred 
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management (hospitality, private club, or luxury services experience preferred). 
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Graphic design skills and familiarity with platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.  
  • Experience with website content management systems (CMS) and basic knowledge of SEO best practices.  
  • Ability to analyze engagement data, survey results, and other feedback to inform strategy.  
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative event and communication ideas.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with leadership, department heads, and members.  
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.  
  • Comfortable serving as a public-facing representative of the Club, both in-person and online.
