The Account Manager plays a critical role in maintaining and growing client relationships, strategy, and financial performance of a specific account(s) unit within an organization. They are responsible for developing and implementing business strategies that align with corporate goals while ensuring profitability and identifying opportunities for growth. Maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal departments is essential to drive collaboration and success. A key part of their role is managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and making data-driven decisions to maximize profitability and revenue. By balancing strategic planning, financial oversight, and tactical performance, they ensure that the account base is managed effectively and contributes to the overall success of the organization. Their role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to drive business success and maintain client trust.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with assigned clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day client needs, inquiries, and issue resolution.
  • Understand client goals and business challenges to provide consultative solutions and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and account reviews to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, product, operations, and customer service to meet client expectations.
  • Monitor account performance metrics and ensure contractual service levels are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and account status in CRM systems.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to anticipate needs and maintain engagement.
  • Handle contract renewals and assist with negotiation of new agreements or changes in scope.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitoring account performance, identifying TAM (Total Addressable Market) providing insights, and suggesting improvements.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborating with customers to develop long-term strategies that align with their business goals.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight: Managing account budgets, tracking profitability, implementing cost increases, maintaining accounts receivable in good standing.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Staying informed about industry trends, competitors, and market shifts to provide valuable insights.
  • Project Management: Overseeing projects to ensure they are implemented in quickest form to accelerate revenue generation as early as possible.

  • Advanced knowledge in Excel with ability to create pivot tables, graphs and tables.
  • Advanced knowledge in creating PowerPoint presentations and comfortability presenting to external and internal leadership teams.
  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or customer success
  • Experience in B2B environments strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the industry relevant to the employer’s services or products is a plus
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding client satisfaction and retention goals
  • Experience working with industry specific OEM’s in HVAC and/or Appliance

Frequent (50%+) travel to customers operations and corporate locations.
