As a Quality Technician, some of your essential duties and responsibilities will include:     

  • Function as the quality expert in the area, maintaining a full understanding of the quality assurance requirements for the department
  • Make decisions on quality compliance/non-compliance based on written quality standards
  • Perform quality checks to ensure product meets all quality assurance specifications
  • Identify and report non-compliance issues by working directly with operations and departmental leadership
  • Maintain consistent quality communications with operations

               

You may fit well into this role if you possess the capability to:

  • Perform required lab quality checks as defined in the Quality Assurance Procedures 
  • Properly communicate timeline for non-conforming product to the team to ensure product is contained properly
  • Support additional quality checks required during process trials and material/product qualifications
  • Attend Department Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings, reporting any quality outages, and listening for quality watch outs

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to work night shift and support overtime as needed
  • This role requires a combination of in-process and computer work. Length of time performing either function is driven by site and operation’s needs.
  • Must be able to collect quality samples from the production floor
  • Must possess time management skills to stay on task
  • Some exposure to chemicals – training and PPE will be provided to address risks

  • Any prior experience in a quality role or functional quality assignment
  • Proven successes in working with teams to achieve a common goal
  • Effective oral & written communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with operations and departmental leadership
  • Effective and timely decision-making skills
