Overview:


The Senior Revenue Accountant oversees a company's revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with standards like GAAP and ASC 606, prepares financial reports, and analyzes revenue trends to support strategic decisions. Key duties include reviewing contracts, collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Legal and FP&A), providing guidance to the accounting team, and working with external auditors. The role demands strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.


What You'll Do:


  • Preparation of top deal reviews including preparing revenue allocations, performing agreement review, and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Prepare other analyses as needed to ensure the accuracy of revenue in our financial statements and disclosures.
  • Calculate monthly commissions for the sales team and journal preparation for accounting
  • Monthly reporting on bookings, churn, and ARR to the senior leadership team.
  • Document and maintain relevant policies and desktop operating procedures.
  • Build strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external teams with a focus on driving efficiencies and improving levels of service.
  • Interface with external auditors on revenue related issues.
  • Provide revenue accounting guidance to Deal Desk, Product, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain an understanding of the company products and programs (new and existing) relative to their impact on revenue transactions and the application of ASC 606
  • Ad-hoc requests as required.
  • Assist Finance with the development of a SaaS revenue model based on direct SFDC data.



What You'll Bring:


  • Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivots)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups of varying sizes.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to use good judgment and make strong independent decisions.
  • Demonstrates an inspirational attitude that contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, along with willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance.
  • Must possess and consistently exhibit the competencies relative to the position.
  • Well-developed ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write English
