Job Summary

The Material Coordinator provides necessary support to operate and maintain the warehouse facilities. Work involved is typical of normal warehouse operations.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
  • Processes incoming and outgoing transactions in a computerized maintenance management program and routes hard copy documentation to appropriate departments
  • Routes materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods and ensuring locations are accurately noted in the government's automated work management system
  • Picks up and delivers materials to correct agencies and worksites
  • Obtains correct signatures on vendor invoices and purchase orders (PO's)
  • Maintains inventory of stored material to identify discrepancies, etc. as directed
  • Operates forklifts to retrieve and relocate materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable
  • Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies
  • Compiles with applicable federal, state, United States Navy (USN) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations
  • Completes health and safety rules and procedures while performing work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment
  • Incumbents will always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties
  • Accountable for assigned tools, materials and equipment.
  • Ensures cleanliness and safety of shop and work areas.
  • Unload and inspect supplies and material from various suppliers
  • Notify buyer and supplier of shipment discrepancies
  • Notify responsible individual of the supplies and material upon arrival
  • Enter receipts and information into MAXIMO.
  • Create and maintain files for all purchased items and monthly invoices
  • Tag property with bar codes, stock numbers, and asset labels
  • Create Asset within MAXIMO and maintain changes
  • Store property in warehouses and ware yards
  • Issue stock items to work orders
  • Prepare and ship outgoing items from warehouse
  • Annual physical inventory of all warehouses and ware yards
  • Evaluate inventory for usage and excess stock
  • Help with disposal of obsolete and excess materials
  • Pick up and deliver to/from various locations throughout the outlying areas
  • Safely operate handcarts, forklifts, and vehicles
  • Clean, maintain and schedule repairs for warehouse equipment and vehicles
  • Keep an organized and clean warehouse facility
  • Run inventory and reordering reports
  • Attend weekly meetings
  • Field phone calls and emails from co-workers, suppliers and transport centers
  • Produce shipping labels and schedule package pickups for employees from outlaying facilities
  • Package and ship goods for company business purposes

Required: High School Diploma

Required: Valid Driver's License 

Required: 4 Years experience of Supply or warehouse experience

Required: Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word, etc..)

Required: Forklift experience  

Required: Forklift Certification 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications
  • Ability to solve problems and work Independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changes in technology
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations
  • Demonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English
