About the Role:

The Housing Director will lead and oversee all aspects of housing programs within the health care services sector, focusing on providing affordable and supportive housing solutions to vulnerable populations. This role is pivotal in developing strategic initiatives that integrate community development and social services to enhance residents' quality of life. The Housing Director will collaborate with non-profit organizations, government agencies, and community stakeholders to secure funding and resources necessary for program sustainability and growth. They will ensure compliance with financial management practices and regulatory requirements while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes volunteer engagement and community outreach. Ultimately, the Housing Director will drive economic development efforts that align with the organization's mission to create safe, affordable housing options in Woodland, IOP, and surrounding areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in housing program management, preferably within non-profit or health care service organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in volunteer management and community outreach.
  • Proven track record in fundraising and financial management within a non-profit or community development context.
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations, social services, and economic development principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Public Health, Social Work, or Urban Planning.
  • Experience working in health care services or integrated community health settings.
  • Familiarity with local Woodland, IOP, and regional housing policies and community resources.
  • Certification in Non-Profit Management or Fundraising (e.g., CFRE).
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse cultural communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive housing programs that address the needs of low-income and special needs populations.
  • Lead volunteer management efforts to recruit, train, and retain volunteers who support housing initiatives and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinate with community partners, non-profits, and government agencies to enhance program effectiveness and expand service delivery.
  • Oversee fundraising campaigns and grant writing efforts to secure financial resources for housing projects and operational needs.
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and compliance to ensure responsible stewardship of funds and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct community outreach to raise awareness about housing services and foster strong relationships with residents and stakeholders.
  • Supervise and support staff involved in housing, social services, and economic development programs to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor program outcomes and prepare detailed reports for senior leadership and funding entities.

Community outreach expertise will be essential for engaging local residents and stakeholders, ensuring programs meet community needs effectively.
