Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the College of Education Recruitment Specialist and project staff, provide support for the Hawaii Pacific Foundation (HPF) project and other recruitment-related activities and tasks. Duties include:
Recruitment
Assist project lead and administrative assistant in duties related to daily project and recruitment activities
Support College of Education recruitment events and activities: assist with coordinating, preparing materials, and communicating with participants and stakeholders
Assist with entering information into, and maintaining enrollment management databases for tracking recruitment, retention, and workforce matriculation outcomes
Assist with research development and processes related to teacher recruitment and workforce matriculation in Hawaii
HPF Funding
Assist with HPF admission process from recruitment to preparing and tracking student records for those receiving graduate funding scholarships
Manage fiscal processing of scholarships for project recipients
Assist in developing and maintaining the HPF project website, participant profiles, and recruitment and social media materials
Provide support for writing HPF progress summaries and reports, including managing and tracking project outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
Full-time classified graduate-level student in good standing (GPA of 3.0 or above) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
Proficiency with basic computer software and hardware, such as Google Drive/Docs/Sheets/Slides/Forms, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work with various colleagues, students, and community members.
Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize tasks effectively, with the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team setting.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated computer literacy with Zoom, online tools, Adobe Acrobat, and common social media platforms.
Exceptional attention to detail in data management, analysis, and documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with project members and community contacts.
Masters or Doctoral student in Education at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa
Knowledge of the College of Education's programs.
Familiarity with education workforce issues regarding the Native Hawaiian community.
Experience in admin, fiscal, or project management.
Skills with infographics, graphic design, or layout.
